HTC Runnymede Will Be Finally Released as HTC Sensation XL in October 7

HTC Sensation XLHTC has once again changed the name for the hot rumored first huge 4.7-inch Smartphone HTC Runnymede. Just a few days ago, it is said that the phone will be released with a new name HTC Bass. But now, news from official makes it clear that it will be actually called the HTC Sensation XL.

The HTC Sensation XL is a beast of a Smartphone mainly because of its really huge display. Although it has been talked for quite a long time that the new iPhone 5 would upgrade its screen to 4-inch from the 3.5-inch in iPhone 4, the latest news confirms that it is not true and the same 3.5-inch display will be equipped on iPhone 5. So the 4.7-inch screen will once again make the HTC device much bigger than iPhone.

However, it seems that the Sensation XL doesn’t have a strong processor; the single-core 1.5GHz processor is absolutely out of date for Android Smartphones. Compare to the news that Samsung Galaxy S3 would use a quad-core 2.0 GHz processor for the mid 2012 launch, this single-core processor seems too weak! To ensure a fast speed, HTC has upgraded the RAM to 1G.

This handset will come in 2 Beats Audio-themed variants: one with iBeats earbuds and the special edition with over-the-ear Beats Solo headphones. It will run on Android 2.3.4 system with the Sense 3.5 UI which has lots of optimizations to bring simple UI, fast speed and less memory consumption.

Other features like microSD card slot, Bluetooth 3.0, HTC Sync, GPS with A-GPS, 3G connectivity and 1600mAh battery are available on the device.

The HTC Sensation XL is expected to launch next month at the HTC’s October 7th event in London. The 16GB version is said to be at the price of €499.

Short Scary Stories for Halloween 2011

Short Scary Stories for Halloween 2011

Halloween

1.
One night, a few years ago, my parents were at my 15 year old brother’s football practice. Since I was 14, I could stay home alone. While they were gone, I was watching the Children of the Corn. For those of you who don’t know what that is, it is a movie about the devil.

Anyways, I heard growls coming from upstairs. I went upstairs to investigate. I saw nothing, so assuming it was nothing; I went back to watching my movie. I heard it again. I did the exact same thing that I did the last time. It kept happening. After the 5th time, I stopped going upstairs. The growling stopped. I thought that was the end of it.

But no. Near the end of the movie, I heard footsteps on my hardwood floor. Then, my dogs started barking. So I walked into my dining room (where my hardwood floor is). I turned my head and there standing right next to my table was this bloody man just like in the movie. He looked burned. He kept saying something like “I’m from hell” or something like that.

I couldn’t hear over the barking dogs. Just then, my parents walked in the door and the “man from hell” (as I call him) disappeared. I told my parents what happened. Surprisingly they believed me. We sold the house as fast as we could and bought a house as far away as we could. We went from Colorado to New Jersey. We threw away the Children of the Corn.

We learned that watching movies that involve the devil haunt your house with the devil. My mom now bands all devil-related movies from our house. I am now 16 and I will NEVER think of watching a devil related movie again. I am still paralyzed from that scene and probably will be forever.

2.
I was once foolish enough to "play" with one. A couple of years ago my friend got one. He invited me and my brother over to play on Halloween. We did it at midnight. We stated asking simple questions such as whats my age and things like that but quickly out curiosity grew. We asked what its name was and it said "Tansa".

We then asked if it was evil or good, it took a little while to respond but then suddenly the computer turned on and it was satins Wikipedia page. Then the screen flicked to Google and it wrote "I like anagrams." We took little notice of this thinking it was a glitch we kept on playing. We asked can you show yourself. It took a second to realize how stupid we just were.

Suddenly the mirror started making a weird scratching noise and suddenly a figure appeared for a split second in the mirror then the Ouija board stated pointing at letters. It pointed at L U H B D Y O K E I O N D. Then we remembered something about anagrams.
My brother (who's I.Q was 164) worked them out in a flash. Tansa was an anagram on Satan and L U H B D Y O K E I O N D was a anagram of “Look behind you." With blood rushing we turned around only to see a teddy bear. The teddy then walked over to my brother and said “I WUV YOU" and then vanished.

We turned back around to see that my friend was not there. Panicking we rushed out back to our house. A month later we were still traumatized by the incident. I was brushing my hair when I saw my friend in the mirror, in a weak voice he said. "Hell is real, oh how real it is" then he vanished. Long story short Ouija boards spell bad news.

3.
There was a girl named Megan. Megan took a bath twice every day. She took one in the morning and one at night.

One night on Halloween, Megan had just finished passing out candy to trick-or-treaters. She was very tired so she decided to get ready for bed. So she went upstairs to take a bath and brush her teeth. Once she reached the bottom of the staircase, she stopped dead in her tracks. A chill went up her spine.

Standing at the top of the stairs, was a little girl dressed all in white. "Who are you?" Megan asked shakily. The girl just smiled evilly. Then she faded away. After she disappeared, a bone chilling giggle could be heard throughout the whole house. Megan just shook it off as her imagination and continued her way up the stairs.

Once she had the tub filled in the bathroom, she slowly eased into the water and closed her eyes. The warm liquid felt soothing on her aching bones. Suddenly the water started to feel thick and uncomfortable. She looked down and screamed.

The bathtub was filled to the rim with bright red blood. Suddenly, that horrible giggle was heard throughout the house again. Then the little girl appeared beside the tub. The only difference about the girl dressed in white was that her evil grin had changed into a absolutely crazy smile. And the fact that now there was a gleaming silver knife in her small hands. The last words Megan ever heard were "Happy Halloween Megan!" before the little girl plunged the knife through her heart.

The next morning, Megan's parents found Megan lying face down in the tub, a look of pure horror on her face.

How to View PowerPoint on All Symbian Devices

SymbianOnly 2 or 3 years ago, the framework in the mobile phone market is totally different from today. The iOS, Android, Windows Mobile Phone were all piece of cake, only the Symbian was the true king for mobile market. With the popularity of the new generation Smartphones with the iPhone and Android Smartphones like HTC and Samsung as the representatives, the iOS and Android surely have become the most welcomed platforms. Symbian has been left behind, so was Nokia who insists on the Symbian platform.

In fact Symbian was created by merging and integrating software assets contributed by Nokia, NTT DoCoMo, Sony Ericsson and Symbian Ltd. But now, when we talk about Symbian, we know it is on Nokia mobile phones. Unlike iPhone or Android Smartphones who have millions of useful apps for assistant, Symbian system fails. We can view PowerPoint on iPhone and Android Smartphone like HTC Sensation or Samsung Galaxy S2 using the Office apps, then what about Symbian?

There are few Office apps for Symbian like Quickoffice, but it only works for latest Symbian devices, for the older versions, you still can’t play PowerPoint. In order to play PowerPoint on Symbian, we need to convert the PPT to other formats. Let’s first take a look at what formats are supported by all Symbian devices.

1. Image
Image is supported universally, not only for Symbian, but also for other phones. So we can view PowerPoint on all Symbian as images.

Notice:

A. Create a separate folder for each PowerPoint file so that they won’t mix up.

B. Rename the slide according to numbers so that the output pictures will be in order.

2. Video

All phones support some kinds of video formats. In the past the most common video formats for phones are 3GP or 3G2 due to the limited storage. But now the internal storage has expanded greatly to 8BB – 32GB, so the best video format for Smartphones has changed to MP4. MP4 could storage high-definition videos in quite small size. How to convert PowerPoint to MP4? You can use a PowerPoint to video converter like Moyea PPT to Video Converter http://www.dvd-ppt-slideshow.com/ppt-to-video/ to convert your powerpoint file to video format directly.
PowerPoint to Video for Symbian

After imported PowerPoint files to the program, you should choose an output video format for Symbian devices, take MP4 for example. Then you can further adjust the MP4 video parameters like video codec, bit rate, and video size and quality. Al last, start the conversion.

The two methods above enable you to view PowerPoint on all Symbian devices. However, when saving PowerPoint as images, all the original elements like transitions, animations, music and videos will be removed. To view PowerPoint on Symbian with all the original effects, saving PowerPoint to video is the best choice for now.

Android Smartphone’s 20 Most Useful Apps

Jason Hiner on ZDNet made this list of Android Smartphone’s 20 most useful apps to help Android users to save time for choosing the right apps.

Summary: To help you sort through the deluge of apps, here’s a list of 20 tried-and-true Android Smartphone apps that are worth your time to download.

The Android Market may not have as many apps as the iPhone App Store yet, but there are still more than enough to be overwhelmed, and it continues to grow at a breakneck pace. To help you sort through them all, here is my latest list of the 20 most useful Android apps.

Other: Most useful iPhone apps
            Best iPad 2 Apps

Remember that I primarily had business professionals in mind when making this list and also keep in mind that this is a snapshot in time. The Android platform is developing so quickly that I guarantee my home screen will look different a month from now.

Still, here’s my list of tried-and-true Android apps that I can highly recommend.

Android Apps

1. Google Voice

Google Voice is a service that is so useful I consider it one of the top benefits of Android itself. The service gives you a phone number that can ring to multiple places or devices and it allows you to access all of your voicemail and text messages from the Web. The Android app integrates even deeper. It can make outgoing calls look like they’re coming from your Google Voice number so that you can keep your real mobile number private.

2. Advanced Task Killer

One of the realities of having a multitasking mobile OS is that you have to manage your apps so that they don’t hurt performance or battery life. Advanced Task Killer (ATK) is my favorite on Android. It even comes with a widget that you can tap once to kill all open apps and you can also set up ATK to kill all apps at periodic intervals. Some people will argue that task managers are irrelevant and unneeded in Android, but I still prefer to use ATK.

3. Dropbox

Dropbox is a great cloud service that automatically syncs a folder of files between multiple computers (Windows, Mac, or Linux). This app extends Dropbox to Android and interacts with other apps (such as Documents To Go) to open the files. It allows you to access PDFs, image files, and business documents by simply dragging them to a folder on your computer and then you immediately have access to them from your mobile phone, once you have this app installed.

4. Evernote

Once you get used to typing on a virtual keyboard (and it honestly took me over a year to do it), then these devices are great for note-taking, and Evernote is a great note-taking app. It is similar to Dropbox in that it saves data locally but syncs it across all your machines and devices.

5. Taskos

There are plenty of to-do apps to choose from on Android but I now prefer Taskos because of the clean, easy, Android-friendly user experience. It also has a few extras that give it an advantage over apps. The biggest one is voice recognition, which lets you speak a task that the app turns into a to-do item (you might have to correct a word or two).

6. DroidAnalytics

For some reason Google doesn’t have an official app for Google Analytics (for either Android or iPhone). The best one I’ve found on Android is DroidAnalytics. Another good one is mAnalytics.

7. Documents To Go

The free version of Documents To Go offers a great little reader for Microsof Word and Excel files. You can upgrade to the full version (for $15) if you want to be able to create and edit files and add PowerPoint files to the mix. If you do want editing capability, I’d also recommend taking a look at QuickOffice.

8. Google Docs

If you mostly work with Google Docs (including uploading Microsoft Office files to your Google Docs repository) then the only app you’ll really need is the Google Docs app. It’s a nice mobile implementation of document management, although the one annoyance is that always open up files in a web browser rather than within the app itself, which would be a little smoother.

9. Tripit

I dig Tripit. It is by far the best app I’ve found for keeping track of all my travel itineraries. It runs on some great backend systems. You simply forward your confirmation emails for your flights, hotels, rental cars, and more to Tripit and it automatically organizes them into trips with all your details and confirmation numbers. Or, if you use Gmail, you can even use a plugin to automatically catch confirmation emails and turn them into Tripit trips.

10. Places

This is an awesome app for finding shops and services near your current location. From restaurants to medical facilities to taxis, this app is very accurate and takes advantage of the business information from Google Local. This app is better than the info you get from a GPS unit (or app) and better than any of the similar apps available on the iPhone. It’s also integrated into Google Maps.

11. Astro File Manager

Another one of the great things about Android (if you’re a geek or a tinkerer) is that you have lower-level access to the system itself. Astro is an app that lets you navigate the Android file system, which is mostly just interesting, but can be handy once in a while.

12. Speed Test

I’m obsessed with running speed tests to check my bandwidth in various places, both to see 3G/4G fluctuations and to check the quality of Wi-Fi. There are a number of really good speed test apps, but my favorite is the Speedtest.net app. It’s generally consistent and it has some of the best graphics and options.

13. Amazon Kindle

I’ve never completely warmed up to the Amazon Kindle e-reader, but I’m a big fan of the Kindle mobile app. Since it was released I’ve read a lot more books simply because my smartphone is always with me and I can pull it out and read a few pages anytime I’ve got a couple minutes free.

14. Google+

I’ve written a lot about Google+ since it launched in July and I’m pretty active over there (+Jason Hiner). One of the great things that Google did was to release a Google+ Android app at the same time it launched the service as a beta. And, surprisingly, the app was actually pretty good and has been improved since. It immediately became one of my most used mobile apps and definitely stole some of my time away from Android’s Twitter app, mostly because Google+ is a little more interactive.

15. TED Air

The TED conference features a meeting of the minds of some of society’s most influential thinkers. You’ll disagree with some of them since there’s a large diversity of viewpoints, but many talks are worth listening to in order to catch the latest creative thinking on society’s biggest challenges. The cool thing is that they’ve taken the videos from the conference and made them freely available on the Web. The TED Air app provides a great way to access the videos on a mobile device. I hope more conferences follow TED’s lead on this.

16. Google Goggles

This is a fun app that is a little bit ahead of its time. It does visual searches. You can take pictures of things and then the app tries to tell you what they are. It’s limited in its scope but it is pretty cool, and it’s definitely a peek into the future. One of the coolest features is the ability to take pictures of text in a foreign language and let the app translate it for you. In a foreign country, this can help you read street signs and avoid going into the wrong bathroom. :-) On a more practical level, Goggles is a QR code reader.

17. Photoshop Express

Photoshop is, of course, the best known photo editor in the world and its mobile app doesn’t do anything to hurt that reputation. But while the desktop version is known for having a zillion features, the mobile app is distinguished by its simplicity. It’s the best Android (and iPhone) photo editing app for simple crops, brightness adjustments, and sharpens, for example.

18. Audible

As much as I like the Kindle ebooks, I actually consume more books as audiobooks via Audible. With the Audible app you can connect to your Audible library and download over the air. The app also gives you a self-contained player optimized for audiobooks, with a skip-back-30-seconds button and the opportunity to make notes and bookmarks (although I wish the app would store these online so that they could be accessed from the Audible site).

19. Shazam

If you want to impress your friends with a mobile app, show them Shazam. Ever hear a song being played at a store or on the radio and ask yourself, “Oh, what song is that?” That’s where Shazam comes in. Just hit the button and let it listen for 15 seconds, query its database, and then return the name of artist and the song. It has about an 80% success rate. This one isn’t particularly productive, but it is really cool. (You have to live a little, every once in a while.)

20. Google Finance

This is a great little app that regularly gets overlooked. It connects to your Google Finance account, where you can set up a list of stocks and companies to follow and sort them into groups (portfolios). The app provides three simple tabs — a look at the market, a look at your portfolios, and the latest market news. It even does real-time updates when you have the app open.

At Last:

Of course, everyone has his own list of the best something, for all of us have our own specific needs. If you have any great apps, plz share with us!

12 Best Free Mac Apps in Apple Store

As a user who is accustomed to use free apps or open source software, I tried here to list out the 12 best free Mac apps which cover all of our life and work.

With the rise of the App Store, it's easier than ever to pick up software that you know is safe to use, and is recommended by other Mac users. You can find everything from video compression apps to music makers, invoice creators, photo editors, presentation tools and much more.

Not all of the apps here are from the App Store, but all are guaranteed to be awesome and essential in the day-to-day running of your Mac.

1. BetterTouchTool - FREE

With OS X Lion now on the loose, Multi-Touch is the big thing on Macs, and this handy utility let you make the most of it. It enables you to assign just about any Multi-Touch gesture supported by your Magic Mouse or Trackpad to a set preset action, or to a key combination of your choosing.

Want to be able to create a new folder in Finder with a pinch? You can! Want to split clips in iMovie with a swipe? As long as you know the keyboard shortcut, you can do just about anything. Use it wisely and you'll by flying along using only your Trackpad!

2. BOINC - FREE

In the old days, if scientists wanted to crunch a bunch of numbers, they'd have to build or rent space on a supercomputer, one single, monolithic, terrifyingly expensive cluster of processors. The advent of the internet, however, has given rise to a new kind of computing: distributed computing.

The basic idea may be simple – an organisation parcels up little bundles of work, and sends them out to millions of computers all over the world to do then report back on – but the results can be extraordinary.
Though there are a few different distributed computing frameworks around, BOINC is particularly worthwhile as it enables lots of different research institutes to run their projects on a common system; install BOINC, and you can choose to participate in projects looking for cures for cancer and AIDS, looking for models that will help predict climate change, or even just looking for extraterrestrial life with the venerable SETI@home project.

Install BOINC, sign up for one or more projects, and decide how you want it to run. You could run it constantly in the background or just as a screensaver. Either way, this app offers a great way to put your Mac's spare processor cycles to good use.

3. Delivery Status - FREE

This lovingly crafted little widget for Mac OS X's Dashboard layer tracks deliveries though all the big courier companies, including City Link, FedEx, Parcelforce, the Royal Mail, TNT, UPS and USPS. Delivery Status also ties directly into some stores' order and delivery systems, most notably Amazon and, of course, Apple.
Entering delivery details is easy, and the fact that it's a Dashboard widget means you only have to tap a single key to take a quick glance at how your delivery is coming along. And with Dashboard becoming more prominent in OS X Lion, it's more useful now than ever.

Of course it's only as good as the data the courier provides, but it's undeniably more convenient, especially if you're tracking multiple deliveries. I love, too, that it syncs with a service in the cloud that can also push delivery notifications to a £2.99 iPhone/iPad app.

4. Evernote - FREE

I make a lot of notes. Ideas for features, apps to check out, things I might want to do at the weekend – I want to jot it all down somewhere before I forget. The brilliance of Evernote is that it syncs it all to the cloud, so whatever I make a note of on my iPhone or iPad is there on my Mac when I get to it.

I can arrange things how I want, tag them for future searches, share notebooks with others, and even search text that's in images. It's had an interface overhaul for OS X Lion, with a new fullscreen mode, so new Mac users should pick it up straight away.

5. HandBrake - FREE

Handbrake is basically a transcoder; it converts digital video files into a different format. Sounds dull, but one of its best uses is to convert almost any movie into a file that can play on an iPod, iPhone or iPad.
It comes with a slew of different presets, but it's hugely configurable as well, so that with sufficient experimentation, you can balance quality and compression to suit you. It hooks up with VLC for codec help and some other naughtiness that lets it convert commercial DVDs.

6. iPlayer Desktop -FREE

Yes, it's an AIR app, and yes, its use of Flash for the video player means iPlayer Desktop is really demanding on your CPU, but the ability to download BBC programmes for later watching is terrific.

7. Kindle - FREE

Speaking of ebooks, here's Amazon's Kindle. Though your Mac may not be the ideal place to do some long-form reading, there are plenty of books on the Kindle service that you might want to reference while working, or you might just want to pick up on what you were reading while you're at your desk for ten minutes.

Amazon's servers will sync your place in your ebooks across all your devices, from the Kindle app on your iPad to your actual Kindle device, to the Mac app. You'll never forget where you are, and it's easy to search books and save notes. It could be ideal for students, especially.

8. LogMeIn - FREE

There are lots of VNC apps around now – more so than ever before, mainly thanks to the iPad and the great ideal of accessing your desktop Mac from anywhere. Many of them are excellent, but can be unreliable. LogMeIn works every time, so you'll find yourself worrying about it.

9. Plex - FREE

Those who like to use a Mac as a media centre, like me, will have been disappointed with the sudden demise of Front Row in OS X Lion. The silver lining is that it leaves an opportunity for other developers to fill the gap, and Plex is a superb choice. It's got wide codec support, an appealing interface, and works across many different platforms, including iPad and iPhone.

10. Spotify - FREE

We're banned from usingSpotifyat work, and you can understand why; if hundreds of people were using this free music streaming service, our bandwidth would plummet! At home, though, it's a fantastic way of checking out bands; though the free service is now very limited.

The paid-for premium service offers unlimited listening to an absolutely huge range of artists and albums, however. And the ability to collaborate on playlists is great for parties (or annoying friends!).

11. SugarSync- FREE

I bought a subscription to SugarSync because it acts not just as an offsite backup – copying essential work files to its servers – but because it syncs files across multiple computers, even those running Mac OS X 10.5 or Windows XP and later.

Unlike Dropbox, which currently mandates that you put the files you want to sync into a specific folder, SugarSync just asks you what folders from your existing folder hierarchy you want to sync.

I especially love that if I have to put my MacBook Pro in for repair, I can just use another of my computers; all the files will be there, and any changes I make will be synced back when I open up the laptop again.

12. Transmission- FREE

There are lots of clients for the Mac that hook into the world of BitTorrent, but Transmission is the one I use; it's clean, simple-yet-configurable, and Mac-like. BitTorrent is a system for downloading files that are held not on a central server, but on the hard disks of many thousands of ordinary users like you and me all over the world.

Though it has a murky reputation, BitTorrent can be used for good; Linux distros, for example, many of which work on Intel or even PowerPC Mac hardware, are often distributed using it. I like the web interface, too, which lets me add torrents to my Mac mini at home from my iPhone when I'm away.

HTC Ruby Again Upgraded with 1.5GHz Dual-core CPU and 42Mbps Speed

After several times of exposure online, you may still have some impression of HTC Ruby, HTC’s new Smartphone model with upgraded hardware and neat design. The main features of this HTC Ruby are its powerful hardware and fast network.

HTC Ruby4.3-inch Screen

It seems that HTC really loves huge screen. After it bring the Smartphone into the 4-inch screen era, does it aim at 5-inch Smartphone in the end, after it announced the 4.7-inch huge screen Smartphone HTC Bass a few days ago. However, we see a modest 4.3-inch screen with natively qHD (960x540) resolution on HTC Ruby, which is particularly fit for web users and movie fans. Like other newly released phones such as HTC Raider 4G, it will have the new Sense 3.5 UI, which makes a few optimization of the original Android UI and will occupy less RAM. There will be a quick launch unit in Sense 3.5. It features a minimized weather, clock and 5 shortcuts. Under each shortcut, there is a little drawer, where users can put in certain apps and notifications.

1.5GHz dual-core processor, 8M camera

HTC Ruby will have a major hardware upgrade by adopting the 1.5GHz Qualcomm dual-core processor. The embedded Adreno 220 graphics card has several times performance than previous versions like Andreno 205 and will ensure more standout layout in 3D games and HD movies.

To bring more fluent operating experience, HTC Ruby will be equipped with 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage and two cameras: the 8MP primary camera with dual LED, auto focus and 1080p HD video capturing; and the 2MP front camera for video calling.

42Mbps high speed network

HTC Ruby will be running on Android 2.3 system and support DC-HSPA+ network, which means a theoretically possibility of 42Mbps data transfer speed. That is really fast! According to reports, the other HTC device, HTC Raider 4G will support 4G network, whose speed is as fast as 8Mbps to 10Mbps, proves inferior by comparison. Other features like Bluetooth 3.0, WiFi, GPS and DMB digital TV will be seen on this device. Besides, HTC Watch function is introduced to HTC Ruby, which makes it possible to watch the movie while still downloading.

The HTC Ruby has another name – HTC Amaze 4G, which will also be released in Canada besides T-mobile. Though no official release date is revealed, reports say it will hit the market together with Samsung Galaxy S2 Hercules in October 26.

Phone-base Digital Payment Google Wallet Opens to Public

Google's Near Field Communications payment solution Google Wallet has officially launched to the public.
The phone-based digital wallet NFC technology, which is currently only in place on the Samsung Nexus S handset, has been extensively tested and is now ready to trial in New York and San Francisco.

Google is only making the Google Wallet app available to Nexus S 4G customers on the Sprint network in the US, so it's still a pretty small sample that are able to use the service.

The app stores your credit card details then allows you to pay for goods or cash-in coupons at stores which are geared-up with NFC reader devices, just by flashing your phone at the sensor.

Convert PowerPoint to AVI for Mac,Linux,YouTube fro Free

Nowadays we may find out that we cannot live or work without the help of Microsoft PowerPoint. Wherever we are in an office, an organization, a classroom, or at home, Microsoft PowerPoint is indispensable. When you’ve made a presentation with PowerPoint and are about to deliver it to Mac or Linux, or publish it on Internet, or view it on Smartphones or tablets, however, you may find that you can’t. To view PowerPoint with all the original effects, on Mac you can install the Microsoft Office Mac version, while on Linux, many elements will lost with Open Office since no Microsoft Office Linux version is released. Besides, YouTube will reject your PowerPoint due to format incompatibility. Fortunately, you have another method to view PowerPoint on Mac, Linux or YouTube, etc – to convert PowerPoint presentation to AVI for free.

First, let’s take a brief view on the AVI format.

AVI (Audio Video Interleave), first introduced by Microsoft, is a special case of Resource Interchange File Format (RIFF) which divides a file's data into blocks or chunks. An .avi file is used to store audio content or video content compressed with various codecs for playing by Windows Media Player on the computer installed with appropriate codecs. AVI files are supported by Microsoft and even by some standalone DVD players.

How to Convert PowerPoint Presentation to AVI for Free?
