Make Nokia E6 Even Stronger With PowerPoint Reading Ability

Last few months when Apple and Android Smartphone manufactures like HTC, Samsung are busy in the battle, lots of so called “analyst” and “expert” are claiming that Symbian system is going to dead. The Symbian has long been dead in their mouth, but the former cell phone emperor Finnish Nokia never admitted that. This April, Nokia announced a new Symbian 3^ Smartphone – Nokia E6, a revolutionary phone with dedicated design.
Nokia E6

At the first glance, you would feel it looks quite like a Blackberry Smartphone for the full QWERTY keyboard. Because of the large keyboard, the touch screen is very small, just 2.4-inch (640x480 pixels), nearly half of some HTC or Samsung Android Samrtphones. Nokia E6 measures 115.5x59x10.5mm and weighs 133g; it is a thin and light phone. The hardware of Nokia phones is far from strong. For Nokia E6, only 680 MHz ARM 11 processor (likely single-core), 256MB of RAM are equipped. However its camera is relatively strong. The 8M camera is capable of auto focus, dual-LED flash and 720p HD video recording at 25FPS.

As you know Nokia E6 is another Symbian business mobility solution, so we could understand its low hardware. Its portability with thin and light body, usability with full keyboard and Symbian system and special design make it a truly business Smartphone.

For businessmen, reading PowerPoint is inevitable, you won’t take your laptop with you all the way because of this. So let Nokia E6 to help you. Though PowerPoint file is not directly supported by Nokia E6, you can still watch PowerPoint on Nokia E6 after converting it to other formats. If you just need to read the text on the PowerPoint slides, you could save PowerPoint as PDF. However, saving PPT as video using Moyea PPT to Video Converter can not only preserve all the original PowerPoint elements like animations, transitions, music and video clips but also prevent others from editing the file.
Moyea PPT to Video Converter

Step 1. Install and run the PPT to Nokia E6 converter and click Add to import PPT files. All PowerPoint versions are supported and you can add several files at one time with no number limit.

Step 2. Choose a proper output video format for Nokia E6 and further adjust the video and audio parameters in Settings dialog box.

Step 3. After the above preparations, you can just press the Start button and the conversion will be completed in a few minutes.

Then you should be able to transfer the output PowerPoint video to your Nokia E6 for reading later.

3 Add-ons to Greatly Improve Your Firefox Performance!

Firefox
I am a Firefox fan. I have been used Firefox since 2007, at that time, the version is just at Firefox 2. Before that I have used other browsers too, like IE, Opera, Safari and other IE-based browsers, but none of them surprised me so much as Firefox do.

The best of Firefox is beyond itself but the add-ons. Millions of add-ons provides with various functions we needed. If you want a function, install an add-on. You can remove it as you like if not needed. After so many years of Firefox using experiences, I have reduced my add-on list down to only 3. With these 3 add-ons, Firefox performances could be greatly improved.

1.Adblock Plus
This add-on remains on the top list for all Firefox users. It is delicately designed to block the ads on webpages. After adding the add-on, you need to subscribe a few "Filter Subscription", usually in different languages, just choose according to your own need.

2.DownloadHelper
What do you usually do when surfing on the internet. Let me guess! Most of people either read news or watching online videos (or listening online music). For many video sharing websites such the most famous YouTube, it doesn't offer a "download" link for you to save the video onto your local drive. So this add-on will help you now. After installing the add-on, when you open a webpage, it will automatically pick out the download hyperlink for you. Then you could download the videos with just one mouse click!

3.Greasemonkey
A very powerful add-on to enhance your web browsing experiences. Most of the add-ons are designed to add functions to Firefox, but this one is different, it changes the webpage code! You need to install scripts so that Greasemonkey could work. Here are my script choices:

(1)userscripts updater:
You should install this script first, so that the scripts installed later could be updated automatically if new versions are available.

(2)super next page:
It will automatically load the next page in background process, save you lots of time especially when you are reading novels or forums.

(3)google multi-account login:
It enables you to login several google account at the same time. You can easily switch between the account without typing in account name and password any more.

This is how I use Firefox. I am the person long for simplicity, the less the better, so the 3 Firefox add-ons above are quite enough for me!

What other great add-ons are you using, plz feel free to share with us below in the comment field.

How to Choose Laptop Graphics Card? AMD or Nvidia?

I don't really know how much knowledge do you know about the graphics card of PCs and laptops.
1. basically Nvidia card are better for games for many game developers will make special optimization for Nvidia card.

2. There mainly two graphics card brand on market: AMD (former ATI) and Nvidia. Since about 2006, both manufactures have used this f**king strategy of confusing card numbers. Now, it doesn't mean a card with a bigger number would be better.

3. for Nvidia, they have 3 levels:
GTX > GTS > GT.
for each level, like GT 540, the first means the generation, the second number means the level (higher the better), the third number also higher the better.

for AMD card, like AMD HD 6850:
the second number tells us the level:
4 and 5: low
6 and 7: mid
8 and 9: high

The third number higher the better, the highest would be 9.
the 4th number is always be 0.

4. technology
for now the highest is GDDR 5 which would bring 40% higher performance for the same card in GDDR3.
The first GDDR5 is out in 2008, and popular since 2010.
the above 2 cards are both in GDDR3, so it is not good enough.

Father's Day Story 3

Years ago, there was a very wealthy man who, with his devoted young son, shared a passion for art collecting. Together they traveled around the world, adding only the finest art treasures to their collection. Priceless works by Picasso, Van Gogh, Monet and many others adorned the walls of the family estate. The widowed elder man looked on with satisfaction as his only child became an experienced art collector. The son's trained eye and sharp business mind caused his father to beam with pride as they dealt with art collectors around the world.

As winter approached, war engulfed the nation, and the young man left to serve his country. After only a few short weeks, his father received a telegram. His beloved son was missing in action. The art collector anxiously awaited more news, fearing he would never see his son again. Within days, his fears were confirmed; the young man had died while rushing a fellow soldier to a medic. Distraught and lonely, the old man faced the upcoming Christmas holidays with anguish and sadness. The joy of the season, that he and his son had so looked forward to, would visit his house no longer.

On Christmas morning, a knock on the door awakened the depressed old man. As he walked to the door, the masterpieces of art on the walls only reminded him that his son was not coming home. As he opened the door, he was greeted by a soldier with a large package in his hands. He introduced himself to the man by saying, "I was a friend of your son's. I was the one he was rescuing when he died. May I come in for a few moments? I have something to show you." As the two began to talk, the soldier told of how the man's son had told everyone of his, not to mention his father's, love of fine art.

"I am an artist," said the soldier, "and I want to give you this." As the old man unwrapped the package, the paper gave way to reveal a portrait of the man's son. Though the world would never consider it the work of a genius, the painting featured the young man's face in striking detail. Overcome with emotion, the man thanked the soldier, promising to hang the picture above the fireplace. A few hours later, after the soldier had departed, the old man set about his task. True to his word, the painting went above the fireplace, pushing aside thousands of dollars
worth of art. His task completed, the old man sat in his chair and spent Christmas gazing at the gift he had been given.

During the days and weeks that followed, the man realized that even though his son was no longer with him, the boy's life would live on because of those he had touched. He would soon learn that his son had rescued dozens of wounded soldiers before a bullet stilled his caring heart. As the stories of his son's gallantry continued to reach him, fatherly pride and satisfaction began to ease his grief. The painting of his son soon became his most prized possession, far eclipsing any interest in the pieces for which museums around the world clamored. He told his neighbors it was the greatest gift he had ever received.

The following spring, the old man became ill and passed away. The art world was in anticipation, that with the collector's passing, and his only son dead, those paintings would be sold at auction. According to the will of the old man, all of the art works would be auctioned on Christmas Day, the day he had received the greatest gift. The day soon arrived and art collectors from around the world gathered to bid on some of the world's most spectacular paintings. Dreams would be fulfilled this day; greatness would be achieved as many would claim, "I have the greatest collection." The auction began with a painting that was not on any museum's list. It was the painting of the man's son. The auctioneer asked for an opening bid, but the room was silent. "Who will open the bidding with $100?" he asked. Minutes passed, and no one spoke. From the back of the room came a voice, "Who cares about that painting? It's just a picture of his son." "Let's forget about it and move on to the good stuff," more voices echoed in agreement. "No, we have to sell this one first," replied the auctioneer. "Now, who will take the son?" Finally, a neighbor of the old man spoke. "Will you take ten dollars for the painting? That's all I have. I knew the boy, so I'd like to have it." "I have ten dollars. Will anyone go higher?" called the auctioneer. After more silence, the auctioneer said, "Going once, going twice, gone." The gavel fell. Cheers filled the room and someone exclaimed, "Now we can get on with it and bid on the real treasures!" The auctioneer looked at the audience and announced that the auction was over.

Stunned disbelief quieted the room. Someone spoke up and asked, "What do you mean, it's over? We didn't come here for a picture of some old guy's son. What about all of these paintings? There are millions of dollars worth of art here! I demand that you explain what is going on!" The auctioneer replied, "It's very simple. According to the will of the father, whoever takes the son ... gets it all."

Puts things into perspective, doesn't it? Just as those art collectors discovered on Christmas Day, the message is still the same: the love of a Father, whose greatest joy came from his Son who went away and gave his life rescuing others. And because of that Father's love, whoever takes the Son gets it all.

Father's Day Story 2

Once upon a time there was a woman who had a baby boy. The other half of the boy’s DNA was never in his life. Never paid a dime and never laid an eye on his creation. This was fine and even good for the woman. No need for complications or a dead-beat.

However when the boy was old enough to know what “Dad” was, he would ask from the backseat of the car, “Do I have a dad?”

In the front seat, hidden from the boy’s view, the woman would flinch. Promising always to tell the boy the truth, she’d say, “You do but we don’t know where he lives. And you know, you don’t need a dad. You have Grandma and Grandpa and a Mommy who loves you as much as two parents could love a boy. We don’t need a dad.”

The answer would always appease the boy in the same manner as if you were born without an arm. You would never know what it was like to have an arm… and therefore never miss it.

As the years went on the woman’s boyfriends came and went with no one being “Dad” material. She knew it from the rough way they would act around the boy or the fake smile they would put on for him. But mostly it was the boy himself that would tell her in his own quiet way.

Along with the years came bullies who asked the boy, “Why don’t you have a dad?” or “Where is your dad?” These questions always socked the woman in the stomach more than they bothered the boy because again… he never had an arm to begin with.

Then came that one unseasonably cool summer night where the woman met a man. A man with a genuine smile, an infectious laugh and a good soul. It wasn’t just the best first date ever, it was the beginning of something wonderful.

Despite hesitation from others, the woman introduced the boy to the man within a matter of days. She knew the boy was the best barometer of character. And instantly the woman knew this was different. They played ball. The man was patient with the overthrows and complimentary of the boys skill without being saccharine.

Time went on and the man and woman became closer. Time went on and the man and boy became closer.

After just six months the man asked the woman to marry him. He made sure to propose during a time that the boy was around. Because in truth the man was hoping that both of them would say “YES!”

Soon after the engagement, the boy said words he had never uttered in his ten years of life. The boy, of his own volition without want or coaxing from anyone said to the man, “Hi Dad.”

The man smiled his warm smile, paused and simply replied, “Hi Son.”

On this first official Father’s Day the man will watch baseball and play catch with his son. And the boy will grab on to his dad and ask him to play.

And all the while, the woman, the wife, the mother will smile a smile that is of pure light from her very happy heart.

There is no “The End” to this story. There is just “The Beginning”.

Father's Day Story 1

My Dad, some ninety plus years now, sat feebly on the patio bench. He didn't move, just sat with his head down staring at his hands. I sat down beside him. He didn't acknowledge my presence and the longer I sat I wondered if he was okay.

Finally, not really wanting to disturb him but wanting to check on him at the same time, I asked him if he was okay. He raised his head and looked at me and smiled.

Yes, I'm fine, thank you for asking, he said in a clear strong voice. I didn't mean to disturb you, Dad, but you were just sitting there staring at your hands and I wanted to make sure you were alright.

"Have you ever looked at your hands?" he asked. "I mean really looked at your hands?"

I slowly opened my hands and stared down at them. I turned them over, palms up and then palms down. No, I guess I had never really looked at my hands as I tried to figure out the point he was making.

Dad smiled and related this story: "Stop and think for a moment about the hands you have, how they have served you well throughout your years. These hands, though wrinkled, shriveled and weak have been the tools I have used all my life to reach out and grab and embrace life."

"They braced and caught my fall when as a toddler I crashed upon the floor. They put food in my mouth and clothes on my back. As a child my mother taught me to fold them in prayer. They tied my shoes and pulled on my boots. They dried the tears of my children and caressed the love of my life. They wiped my tears when my son went off to war."

"They have been dirty, scraped and raw, swollen and bent. They were uneasy and clumsy when I tried to hold you as a newborn daughter. Decorated with my wedding band they showed the world that I was married and loved someone special."

"They wrote the letters home and trembled and shook when I buried my parents and spouse. They have held children, consoled neighbors, and shook in fists of anger when I didn't understand. They have covered my face, combed my hair, washed and cleansed the rest of my body."

They have been sticky and wet, bent and broken, dried and raw. And to this day when not much of anything else on me works real well these hands hold me up, lay me down, and again continue to fold in prayer. These hands are the mark of where I've been and the ruggedness of my life."

"But more importantly it will be these hands that God will reach out and take when He leads me home. And with my hands He will lift me to His side and there I will use these hands to touch the face of Christ." ----

After that day, I will never look at my hands the same again.

But I remember God reached out and took my Dad's hands and led him home. When my hands are hurt of sore or when I stroke the face of my children and husband I think of Dad. I know he has been stroked and caressed and held by the hands of God.

3 Ways to Convert PowerPoint to Video for Viewing on Mac

Do you want to view Microsoft PowerPoint on your Mac computer? Here I will tell you 3 ways to convert PowerPoint to video for viewing on Mac.

Before we talk about how to do it, let’s briefly have a look at why we need to do this. As you know, the Windows and Mac are two different platforms and are not compatible to each other. The most widely used Microsoft PowerPoint is based on Windows platform so it cannot work on Mac. Last year Microsoft released PowerPoint for Mac, but not everyone is using it. So it would be a good idea to convert PowerPoint to video first and then we can watch it on Mac.

Method 1: Windows Media Player
Windows Media Player is a widely used free software to make videos. We can first save PowerPoint as images and then import to Windows Movie Maker to make it a video.

For PowerPoint 2007:
1. Click the round Office button >” Save As” >” Other Formats”.

2. In the “Save As type” drop down menu, for example, choose JPG, and click “Save”. When PowerPoint asks whether you want to export all slides, select “Every Slide”.

For PowerPoint 2003 & 2010:
1. Click “File” on the ribbon > “Save As”.

2. In the “Save as type” menu, choose “GIF” for example, and click “Save”, When PowerPoint asks whether you want to export all slides, select “Every Slide".

Most of the PowerPoint elements like animations, transitions, music and video clips will be deleted in the process of saving PPT slides as images.

Method 2: PPT sharing websites
Most of the PPT sharing websites will show your PowerPoint as images. But I found this one – authorSTREAM.com; it will automatically convert the uploaded PPT file to video format. Besides you can download the generated PPT video to your computer.

Some of the PowerPoint elements can be preserved like animations and transitions but not music and video. Only one PPT file can be converted to video at one time with a 50M limit.

Method 3: PPT to Video Converter
Take Moyea PPT to Video Converter for example. In 3 steps, your PowerPoint can be converted to an Mac friendly video format.

1. Install the PPT to Mac converter and import the PowerPoint files that you want to convert.

2. Select an output video format you need. You can also customize video profile parameters.

3. Convert PowerPoint to Mac video.

I should say this is the best way to view PowerPoint on Mac for all the original PowerPoint elements like fonts, languages, animations, transitions, and especially the music and video clips will be preserved. Several PowerPoint files can be converted to videos at one time. More than 130 video formats are available for you to choose as the output video format.

If you don’t know the person who receives your PowerPoint has Microsoft PowerPoint for Mac installed or not. I suggest you use the above ways to convert PowerPoint to video first.

HTC Vigor Specs and Photos Revealed, the First Beats Phone with 720p HD Touch Screen

The competition in the Smartphone market is so hard that every manufacturer has to do its best in order to win or survive. Apple stands out for its beautiful interface and huge apps while the Android league is wild about the hardware improvement. After the dual-core processor and 3D display, they are going for the 720p HD touch screen. HTC one of the most famous Android Smartphone manufacturer, is about to release a new flagship, its first 720p HD touch screen Android Smartphone or maybe the world’s first Beats Phone – HTC Vigor.

The world’s first Beats Phone

Days ago, HTC has invested $300million in Beats Electronics, whose premium Studio headphones has become the No. 1 seller of $100-plus models displacing previous leader Bose. It is very likely that HTC will use the Beats sound technology in its next Smartphone to battle Apple. Thus HTC Vigor might be the world’s first Beats phone.

4.3-inch 720p HD touch screen

The most attractive feature of HTC Vigor is that it will be equipped with a 4.3-inch 720p HD touch screen whose resolution is 1280x720. This would surely bring excellent visual experience to users. Till now, we know that HTC Vigor will be running on Android 2.3.4 with brand new HTC Sense 3.5 UI. But since it will be released this October so probably we could see Android Ice Cream Sandwich on HTC Vigor then.

1.5GHz dual-core processor

According to latest news, HTC Vigor will be equipped with Snapdragon MSM 8660 1.5GHz dual-core processor. In testing, the efficacy of Adreno 220 graphics processor chips integrated in CS is better than the PowerVR SGX540 and GeForce graphics processor chips which adopted by NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core processor platform.

Previously known as HTC Thunderbolt 2, an upgrade version of HTC Thunderbolt, HTC Vigor will have some similar features like 1G of RAM, 8MP camera with 1080p HD video recording ability and 4G network support.

Totally Free Methods to Convert PowerPoint to Video with All Original PowerPoint Elements

PowerPoint is one of the most well-known presentation software in the world but all kinds of problems may happen when watching it. People cannot watch PowerPoint presentations without PowerPoint program installed on their computers. Even if they did, they may still fail due to the different PowerPoint versions or operating systems. To make PowerPoint presentations playable universally, saving PowerPoint as video would be the best choice. Here we’d like to talk about a few totally free methods to convert PowerPoint to video with all original PowerPoint elements.

Free method 1: PowerPoint 2010

If you have upgraded to PowerPoint 2010, you should have noticed that there are many new functions added. The 3 main new functions we may use a lot are: save PowerPoint as WMV video, save PowerPoint as PDF and support adding MP4 and FLV video format. The only shortage is that you can only save PPT to WMV format and only 3 vide sizes are offered: 960x720, 640x480, and 320x240.

Free method 2: Windows Movie Maker

We all know that Windows Movie Maker is totally free software to create videos. After we save the PowerPoint slides to image formats like JPEG, we could import the pictures to WMM. When we click “Save as” to get the images, the PowerPoint transitions and animations are deleted. However, we could add in Windows Movie Maker. If you don’t know how to use it, go Microsoft resource page to learn in minutes.

Free method 3: Free PowerPoint to video converter + free video converter

This free Leawo PPT to Video converter support all PowerPoint formats, that is to say all PowerPoint versions from PowerPoint 2003 to 2010 are supported. It could preserve all the original PowerPoint elements like fonts, languages, transitions, animations, music and video clips. Though the output video format is limited, we could use free video converter for help to save the output PowerPoint video as your desired video format.

Free method 4: PowerPoint sharing websites

Most websites don’t support PowerPoint documents. The reason why PowerPoint can be shown on these so called PPT sharing sites is that these sites will automatically convert your PowerPoint to other compatible format, mainly in video format, PDF and images. These PPT sharing sites can be generally divided into two categories:

1. Show PPT as video: such as authorSTREAM.com. The PowerPoint will be converted to video automatically. You can open the URL elsewhere on another computer or on Smartphones and tablets. If you click the “Download” button, you can also download the output PowerPoint video.

2. Show PPT as images: such as Slideshare.net. Like the method 2 above the PowerPoint will be shown as images without animations or transitions. The files you download on these sites are the original PowerPoint documents.

All tools and programs mentioned in this article are totally free so you can repost, digg or twitter this article freely with all content remained.

Back to School Improve Your PowerPoint Presentations 80% in 20% of Time

The Pareto principle, also known as the 80-20 rule, states that, in many situations, roughly 80% of the effects come from 20% of the causes. For example, Microsoft noted that by fixing the top 20% of the most reported bugs, 80% of the errors and crashes would be eliminated. Many people are complaining that it is so difficult to make a good PowerPoint presentation. They fail not because they are not working hard enough, it’s just they didn’t use their time properly.
Many people spend 80% of their time on creating PowerPoint slides and 20% of their time on the following:
  1. Working on great content

  2. Finding the best way to show their message

  3. Delivering the presentation

The truth is the above 3 ignored points are the key for a successful PowerPoint presentation. If you can follow the instructions below you can improve your presentations a lot:
  1. Start by scheduling the time you need to prepare, including filling out a planner, writing your script, and speaking it out. When you speak it out, time it and record it. Listen to the recording and edit.

  2. Storyboard your slides, based on your planner. Figure out the best way to show your points, including data, images, video, and diagrams.

  3. Create a template or theme that you like and use it! You only need to do this once and it will save you time forever after.

  4. Create a custom color scheme/theme colors. Again, do this once and it will improve your presentations forever. It will also save you time reformatting objects on your slides over and over.

  5. Create your slides using the “tell and show” method. It’s a simple method for designing slides that is quick and effective. Best of all, you don’t need to be a designer to get great results.

  6. Practice delivering your presentation several times until it’s smooth. Delivery is where the rubber hits the road, so you should never wing it.

The back to school purchases are especially high for those students heading to high school or college, mainly on such technology products like computers, tablets, Smartphone and software. We have used PowerPoint since we first start to use computer, so we know how important these technology weighs in school today. However, it is also very important to save money when purchase these tech essentials. Before you make your purchase decision, these 5 money-saving tips may help you a lot:

1. Try all means to find discounts on your desired product.

Most of the retailers will hold promotions in the back to school season. You may find the information on their websites or their page on Facebook and Twitter. Some of them may send out coupon codes to offer a certain discount. Remember to type that code when purchase online. Besides, reading online reviews of the products in publications like PC Magazine is good idea to follow up the latest tech information.

2. Consider software as a service option.

When purchasing software, you should consider it as a service option instead of a product. Usually software comes with free upgrade services, some of them have a deadline and some of them can be upgraded lifelong. So remember to read their service policy clearly.

3. Check out Open Source software.

Take open source software into consideration too. For example, instead of the widely use Microsoft Office, you can also use open source Open Office or Libre Office to make PowerPoint presentations. They offer much of the functionality of Microsoft Office, but they are totally free!

4. Forget extended warranties.

For most of the tech products, the manufacturers offer up to 3 years of warranties on the quality. You don’t need to pay more for the extended warranty. For these products like PC, Smartphones and tablets, usually they have a very long life cycle. As long as you choose a famous reliable brand, you may worry about it may run out of date too soon for the rapid development of technologies instead of the quality problems.

5. Always trust in yourself.

As the technology develops, for a single product you may see lots of models. Because of the information gap between the sellers and customers, you may not get the best product for the right price. It’s best if you can take some time to get to know the knowledge about the tech products. Or you should ask a reliable friend for consultation.
